Who can join TrncDate?
Anyone aged 18 or over who lives, studies or works in North Cyprus — or is about to. You can use TrncDate on the website or in the free app for iPhone and Android.
Is TrncDate free?
Yes. Creating a profile, browsing, swiping, matching, Reels, Stories, Groups and the Roommate Finder are free. Optional extras like Premium, Boost and message credits cost money.
How do I get the verified badge?
Open "Verify my photo" and take a quick selfie. Our team checks it matches your profile photos, then the badge appears. Many members only accept messages from verified people.
How does matching work?
Show interest in someone, or swipe right. When they like you back, it's a match and you can chat. You also get hand-picked Top picks every Monday.
What are Reels and Stories?
Reels are short videos or photos you share with the community — people can like, comment and follow you. Stories are photo moments that disappear after a day. New reels are checked by our team before they appear, and reels may be deleted automatically after the time shown when you post.
How do Groups work?
Groups are chats around a university, a city, a hobby or your home country. Join any open group — or suggest a new one, and our team will review it.
How do I find a roommate or a room?
Open Roommates, then post "I have a room" or "I'm looking for a room". Answer the six lifestyle questions to see your match % with every room, use the filters, save rooms with the heart and reply in one tap.
How do I avoid room scams?
Always view the room in person and meet the people who live there before paying anything. Never send a deposit to someone you haven't met. Report any post that feels wrong.
What is a login code?
An extra security step. When it's on, we email you a 6-digit code each time you log in. Turn it on in Security. You can tick "Trust this device" so you're not asked again on that device for a while.
What is incognito?
A Premium feature that lets you look at profiles and stories without appearing in "who viewed me".
How does Boost work?
A boosted profile is shown at the top of Browse for a set number of hours. Buying again adds more time.
What are message credits for?
Replying in a chat is always free. Starting a new conversation uses one of your free daily chats, and after that a message credit. Premium members can start unlimited conversations.
Someone asked me for money. What should I do?
Don't send anything. Tap Report on their profile and stop replying — genuine people never ask for money. If you ever feel in danger, call the police on 155.
How do I delete my account?
Go to your settings and choose Delete account. This removes your profile from TrncDate.
How do I contact you?
Use the Contact page on the website or Contact us in the app. Choose the reason, add a screenshot if it helps, and we'll reply by email.
