TrncDate ("we", "us") runs the website trncdate.com and the TrncDate mobile app. This policy explains what information we collect, why, who helps us process it, how long we keep it, and how you can delete it. You must be 18 or older to use TrncDate.

1. Information you give us - Account details: first and last name, email address, password (stored encrypted), username. - Profile details: date of birth, gender, nationality (home country), country and city where you live, university, major and year of study (if you add them), bio, interests, lifestyle details, relationship goal, profile prompts and answers to optional extra questions. - Photos you upload, including private photos you choose to lock. - Messages you send, gifts you send, likes, passes, super likes, favourites, reports and blocks. - Roommate posts and real-estate listings you publish, with their photos and details. - Verification (optional): an ID document and a selfie, or your university email address. ID documents are used only to check your identity and are deleted after the check. - Payments: when you buy Premium, credits, gifts or top up your wallet on our website, the payment is handled by Paystack, Flutterwave or PayPal. We receive the amount, date, method and a reference — never your full card number. For bank transfers you may upload a proof of payment. - Messages you send us through the contact form.
2. Information collected automatically - When you were last active (to show "online now"), the date you joined, and basic technical logs (IP address, browser/device type) kept for security. - In the app: a notification token so we can send you push notifications. You can turn notifications off in your phone settings. - We do not read your phone's GPS location. Your city is what you type in. - We do not sell your information and we do not show third-party advertising in the app.
3. Why we use it - To run the service: show your profile to other members, match you, deliver messages and notifications, run roommate and real-estate listings and saved-search alerts. - Safety and fraud prevention: profile and post review, verification, detecting messages that look like scams, handling reports, and suspending accounts that break our rules. - Payments and receipts. - Service emails (account, security, messages, matches, receipts) and, if you have not opted out, our newsletter.
4. What other members can see Your profile (name, age, photos except locked ones, city or university, bio, prompts and other profile details) is visible to other members. Choose "Who can contact me" in your profile to limit who can start a chat with you. Messages are visible only to you and the person you are chatting with; our moderators may review messages when a report is made or a message is flagged as possible fraud.
5. Who processes information for us - Our web hosting provider (stores the website and database). - Payment providers: Paystack, Flutterwave, PayPal (only when you pay). - Expo (push notifications to the app) and our email sending provider. - Google (only if you choose "Continue with Google" to sign in). These providers only process information to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect members' safety.
6. How long we keep it - Your account information is kept while your account exists. - When you delete your account, your profile, photos, messages, likes, matches, favourites, gifts, posts, listings, saved searches and notification tokens are deleted straight away. - Payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, without your profile. - Reports about an account may be kept for up to 12 months for safety reasons. - Security logs are kept for a limited time.
7. Deleting your account - In the app: Profile → Delete my account. - On the website: My profile → Delete account. - Can't log in? See https://trncdate.com/delete-account or email info@trncdate.com from your account's email address. We delete it within 30 days.
8. Your rights You can view and change most of your information in your profile at any time. You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by emailing info@trncdate.com.
9. Security We use HTTPS encryption for all connections, store passwords encrypted, and limit staff access to what is needed. No online service is 100% secure — never share your password or verification codes with anyone.
10. Age TrncDate is only for adults aged 18 and over. We delete accounts we find belong to anyone younger.
11. Changes We may update this policy. We will show the new date at the top and, for important changes, tell you by email or in the app.
